A tvOS (and companion iOS app) for managing your watchlist on your Top Shelf - for those services that don’t play nicely!
Putting the Apple TV app’s watchlist on the Top Shelf is a great way to tracking what we are watching/want to watch, and getting quickly to the show
Unfortunately, not all streaming services play nicely with this feature - in particular Netflix and YouTube 🤬
On The Shelf aims to compliment the Apple TV app by providing a simple watchlist management app that will let you link to any show, and show it on your Top Shelf

On The Shelf gives you a simple hub for everything you want to watch that isn’t already covered by the Apple TV watchlist
I use it mainly for shows, movies and videos from NetFlix and YouTube, but it will work with any service that supports deep linking direct to the show
On The Shelf automatically detects which service hosts each title and displays it on your TV’s Top Shelf for quick access
There is also an iOS companion app that allows you to manage your watchlist from your phone, and sync with your tvOS device via iCloud.
Simply hit the share button in the NetFlix or YouTube app, and choose the On The Shelf share extension to quickly add it to your watchlist
